Kherson became angels of Christmas Charity

   On Sunday, January 8, 2012 was the opening of the V Festival of Children's Art "Christmas Island". The area near the monument "Protection of the Mother of God" brought together pupils from secular and religious schools. There was attended by children from schools №№ 9, 41, 44, 51, from special school № 2, from gymnasium № 20, from the Tauride Lyceum of Arts, from Kherson center of out-school education and from Sunday school of St. Kasperovskiy temple. Performances of children struck by all. Every school, telling carols, was able to convey the spirit of the Ukrainian people, its traditions and mentality.
The event was attended by Khersons Christmas Angels: Maltsev Ustin, head of the Fund, and Zoya Berezhnaya, secretary of the City Council.
   - Raising of a child begins with faith, hope and love. If we believe, hope and love, in our hearts are born feelings such as kindness, sincerity and generosity. The nice thing is that the festival each year attracts more and more children. This suggests that traditions are restored and the new traditions are born. That is, if people give rise to new traditions, life does not stop. - said Zoya Berezhnaya.

   The festival also notable for the fact that during the opening of the festival there was a charity campaign "Children for children". All things (toys, stationery, books) were collected by participants of the festival and sent to the Children's Hospital and an orphanage in the village Stepanovka.
   For children in the hematology department of the Kherson Regional Children's Hospital were passed: albums for drawing, plastilin, markers, watercolor paints and developing constructors. In an orphanage in the village Stepanovka were passed 40 toys and 3 kilograms of sweets. All things were collected by Kherson residents in social charity action "Be Santa Claus and Snow Maiden for orphans".
   It must be noted, that the festival attracted about 500 participants of the secular and religious schools, which is almost half more than in previous years.
   The doors to the Christmas holiday open to anyone interested! Let's gave the care and attention for children!

"Run with the faith of the heart" will be held September 24 in Kherson

In Kherson September 24 will be held a charity marathon "Run with the faith of the heart", which aims to help children with heart disease.
As reported by the publication of the event organizers (they are the company "Danone" and a charitable foundation Ustin Maltsev), this year the project partners were sportswear manufacturer New Balance, a chain of stores equipment Foxtrot, and the company Tetra Pak.
Under the "Run with the faith in the Heart", the participants will learn about the ecological initiative from the company Tetra Pak, and will receive a copy of "Civil Environmental Code."
Recall that in 2010, this marathon was part of the official events celebrating the Day of the city, when 2.500 participants collected 70.000 hryvnas ( 7000 Euro) for the purchase of medical equipment for Cardiology in Kherson Regional Children's Hospital.
