The Fund of Ustin Maltsev will support"Brain Ring"

  October 19, 2012 at 14:00 in the auditorium of the school № 53 (at Kherson, Shovkunenko, 86-A) will consist the 2nd game " The Brain Ring", among schoolchildren, in the framework of the project "Schodennik."

  The game will involve teams from schools № 23, № 53, № 1, high school journalism and law LZHEP. Each school puts a team of students in grades the 10th-11th of 6 persons and fans 50.

  The theme of the game was chosen "General history of Kherson." Participants will compete for two teams in one battle. One fight - 5 questions. The winner goes to the next round, semifinals and finals. Pause when you change teams filled band entertains the school № 27 and the creative team LZHEP.

  The event is supported by the charitable foundation "Ustin Maltsev," which will provide prize money to all the winners.

Ustin Maltsev’s fund congratulated disabled children!

  On September 1, 2012 - on this wonderful Knowledge day - representatives of the Charity fund of Ustin Maltsev visited an orphan school and children's orphanage for disabled children in Tsyurupinsk. The tradition to congratulate children who are deprived of parental care has existed for a long time in the fund. Children, in their turn, always surprise guests with bright concerts and talented performances.
  This time the celebration of the First bell was held merrily and cheerfully, even though all foster-children of the orphanage have severe disabilities. Children feel constant support of mentors and sincere support of all those people who care about children's present and future, who provide regular help and who are ready to give friendly support any time.

  The head of the preschool , general secondary education department of education and science administration of Kherson regional administration - Levenets Nina Ivanovna, volunteers of the Charity fund "Yangolyatko", employees of the fund of help to people affected by Chernobyl, representatives of the Charity fund of Ustin Maltsev.
  Children listened to congratulations of all the guests and got pleasant and necessary presents. The fund of Ustin Maltsev gave the "Marine Alphabet" to first graders It is a coloring book written in verse from A to Z. The aim of the book is to broaden children's outlook, improve reading skills and memory. The rest of the pupils got colored stationery supplies, exercise books, albums, markers. School children like this all so much as it makes the learning process more interesting and entertaining.
  It is neither the first nor the last time that the fund of Ustin Maltsev visits children's orphanages in Tsyurupinsk. We wish the first graders curiosity in gaining knowledge, perseverance and enthusiasm and want confidently add: See you soon!

Philanthropists gave specialized wheel-chairs to the organization “Mother’s heart”

   It is a true holiday in the building of Kherson social organization of invalid children's mothers "Mother's heart". It doesn't happen every day that people come, those who are ready to understand the existing problem and, moreover, to solve it. 
   Today a festive handover of specialized wheel-chairs for disabled children (Down's syndrome, Cerebral Palsy) was held in the presence of the head of the social organization "Mother's heart" Bondar Valentina Alexandrovna. 
   "Our organization helps invalid children with Cerebral Palsy and Down's syndrome to become closer to the social environment, to adapt in it. Parents', our children's and teachers' power that keeps us all together, unites their souls and hearts. Due to financial sponsors' support, we can see the final goal, i.e. help for sick children. We wish that the society gave more attention to this problem. It would make the procedure of helping faster. We thank you all on the behalf of teachers' team, parents' committee and our children for understanding, support and help", - told Bondar Valentina Alexandrovna, the head of the public organization "Mother's heart". 
   At the event, where specialized equipment and wheel-chairs were given to disabled children, such people were present: a priest Sergij, the head of the department of social help and charity of Kherson epiphany of Ukrainian Patriarch Church, Rudenko Bogdan Sergeevich, director of the regional centre of the social service for family, children and youth, and the head of the Charity fund Ustin Maltsev.

   The head of social help and charity department of Kherson epiphany of Ukrainian Patriarch Church, priest Sergij said: "We consider that God influences through such children on other people, so that they were kinder, expressed their feelings of love and charity to those they love. We have an opportunity, with the help of our partners, foreign churches, to give this equipment to Ukrainian children. But its transfer also costs money, because human labor must be paid. We didn't have money to transfer this equipment and we asked Ustin Maltsev's fund to help us. We asked for assistance many people but not so many people want to give money for charity. It is very pleasant that the workers of Ustin Maltsev's fund are our constant partners who help us whenever possible to make those fundamental important things that are very useful". 
   Kherson social organization "Mother's heart" leads very important, psychologically difficult activity, i.e. rehabilitation of invalid children with various deficiencies in psychological development (Down's syndrome and Cerebral Palsy). It unites families, protects children's rights with physical and psychological deficiencies as well as their parents' rights. 
"The most important thing is that today philanthropists, public organizations, society start working as one mechanism for achievement of their charity goals. I have to say that this category of children is very serious and not many organizations want to help and support them. But we know that we don't have to divide children for "our" children and "somebody's" children. And it is our task in this charity union to start systemic work with this group of children, to facilitate their comfortable life with us", - told Ustin Maltsev, the head of the charity fund.

Kherson celebrated Children’s day!

   On the 1st of June the whole country celebrated the International children's day. The holiday was also supported by the citizens of Kherson. Wonderful concerts where children's vocal and dancing groups participated were held near the Drama theatre of N.Kulish and were further continued at the Palace of culture and creativity (DKT). The concert started at 14.00 and finished late in the evening. It was a real show! "Young talents" of Kherson pleased all the citizens of Kherson with their dances and songs. The concert was animated by festive flash mobs. Classic vocal and pop studio "Debut" congratulated all the spectators. A dancing studio "Chu-Style Dance Company" prepared their unique concert program. Children and young people, while waiting for their turn, rehearsed just in the parks close to the Drama theatre. This made the impression of even greater mass scale and everybody's involvement in the celebration. Charismatic leaders of the concert kept the spectators excited all the time and didn't give them a chance to be bored. 
   Visitors of the show were entertained by different contests, attractions in the square at the Drama theatre. It was organized a fair with unique handmade things. Young people on stilts and jumpers towered over the crowd and attracted true attention. It was put a small swimming pool not far away from the stage and everybody willing could wallow in the water inside a bid water sphere. An entertaining contest - wrestling with pillows - was also popular. It was an excellent game for children full of energy and good mood.

   After 18.00 the celebration of Children's day moved to a different district of the town, to the square near DKT. Dancing and vocal groups of the Palace of culture showed the high grade in their performances. Yatsenko Vladimir Ivanovich, the director of the regional Palace of youth, congratulated all children as well as all the visitors of the concert. He is a well-known man of art, having resonant beautiful voice, sang several songs that everyone knew. This was the reason of loud applause. 
   Both events, near the regional Drama theatre and in the square at the Palace of culture, were supported by the Charity fund of Ustin Maltsev. The head of the fund, Ustin Maltsev, congratulated all children. "Children are our future, thus, the more we invest into their health, development and upbringing, the better, stable and optimistic future we provide for all of us", - told Ustin Maltsev and gave festive presents to all the participants of groups as well as to all the solo performers. Children were very happy as not every day they can get so many presents as on this holiday - Children's day.

No – to orphanhood in Kherson region!

   Rinat Ahmetov's fund "Development of Ukraine" launched a large information campaign on drawing attention to the problems of orphanhood "No - to orphanhood!" with the support of all mass media and the Management of the bureau of aesthetics.
   The information campaign "No - to orphanhood!" was created with the aim of promotion of national child adoption and intended to make the procedure of adoption as short as possible. Ustin Maltsev's charity fund will also support the project in Kherson region. A great amount of work has been done on helping orphanages from the time when the fund was founded, as the destiny of every child is meaningful for the fund.

   Information. Starting from March 19, 2008 the fund "Development of Ukraine" operates as Rinat Ahmetov's personal charity fund, who is the main shareholder of SCM group. At the same time the fund is the permanent partner of SCM company on realization of different projects in the field of sponsorship and charity.

Ustin Maltsev’s fund supported the science and practical conference

    On April 26-27, 2012 the 3rd International science and practical conference on "Topical problems of practical psychology" was held in Kherson state university.
Co organizers of the international conference were Kherson state university (Ukraine), Vladivostok state medical university of the federal agency on health safety and social development (Russia), Grodnensk state university of Yanka Kupala (Belorussia).
   Sponsor support for the international conference to be held was made by the head of Antonovka village board Igor Semenchev and the head of the charity fund Ustin Maltsev who also took active part in the conference.
   The fund of Ustin Maltsev presented as a souvenir a book which describes our native Kherson land to all the guests who came to the conference from different regions of Ukraine, from neighboring countries and far abroad.

   Ustin Maltsev greeted the guests of our city: "First of all I want to thank all of you for your everyday work. Psychology is a backbone science for our society. All the processes and material things start from mental algorithms in the society. Psychology is the basement and key to everything."
   During two days of the conference trainings, master classes and round tables were organized where many topical problems of practical psychology were reviewed followed by their discussion. Guests who came - candidates and doctors of psychological, political and medical sciences presented their reports. Such urgent topics as problems of practical psychology in the system of psychologists' training, personal and spiritual life experience of a psychologist as a factor of efficiency of his professional activity, crisis of a person's spirituality at the current time, development of a child's personality in the system of internal family relations and many other topics.
   A cultural and entertainment program was organized for the participants of the conference where they had an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with our beautiful city and Tavria region.

One more child was saved by the fund of Ustin Maltsev!

   The proverb says: Only together we are a power. The situation with Zhenia Liaskovskiy proves this. It was collected 115 000 hrivnas (€ 11 500) for his treatment. This amount was raised in 4 months by united efforts of citizens of Kherson region, Ukraine, Russia, Belorussia, as well as by philanthropists of neighboring countries and far abroad! Now Zhenia has the chance to live full life.
   8-year old boy Zhenia Liaskovskiy suffered from S-shaped scoliosis of the 4th grade. One could not think of normal physical development of the child as the rib cage pressed the heart and lungs. The boy needed urgent operation, during which doctors will put him XIA Stryker implant made of titanium alloy for the fixation of the spine. It will help Zhenia to straighten his spine and to return his internal organs to the normal condition.
   This operation became possible due to the actions of Ustin Maltsev's charity fund and a group of volunteers from Russia!
   Thus, by April 1, 2012 it was collected 115 000 hrivnas (€11 500), including 35 000 hrivnas for the XIA Stryker implant and 80 000 hrivnas for making the operation and rehabilitation course. The campaign on raising funds was held in the period of 18.01.2012 and 01.04.2012.
   Olga Liaskovskaya, Zhenia's mother, and Ustin Maltsev's charity fund are very grateful to all who helped the 8-year old boy to become independent from the wheel-chair! Only when we hold hands and unite efforts, we make impossible things possible!

A discussion on spirituality was held in the hall of Kherson state administration

   On April 25, 2012 a conference on "Development of spirituality in Kherson region" was held in one of the halls of Kherson regional state administration, where representatives of education, family, youth and sport department of Regional state administration, representatives of high educational establishments of Kherson, Ustin Maltsev, the head of the charity fund, Oleg Chernenko, the head of the Regional union of masters of folk art "Dnipro palette", Palichev Yuriy, the head of the public organization "Bulgarians of Kherson" were present. Many questions that dealt with spiritual development of our society were considered in the course of the conference, problems that we always face and perspectives of their solving were raised.
   Social and cultural as well as psychology and pedagogical projects were offered. They will be aimed at development of national and humane values in the society, drawing the young generation to labor, art and culture.
   Spiritual development of the personality as well as the society as a whole is a problem of national importance nowadays. The young generation must think of spiritual and moral values as only such people can work with full dedication for the sake of prosperity of our Motherland.

The memory of liquidators of Chernobyl catastrophe was honored in Kherson

   On April 26, 2012 a solemn ceremony of putting flowers on the memorial for the victims of Chernobyl catastrophe was held in the park of Lenin Komsomol in Kherson. Citizens of Kherson, Kostyak Nikolay Mihaylovich, the head of the Regional state administration, Saldo Vladimir Vasilievich, representatives of public Chernobyl organizations, companies, state institutions, charity funds and public organizations took part in the event. Ustin Maltsev, the head of the Charity fund, came also to honor the memory of the perished.
   "Chernobyl catastrophe became national tragedy and occupies a special place in the history of our country. The accident happened in the time of peace and many people came at that moment to the defense of the country, giving their health and their lives", - said Kostyak Nikolay Mihaylovich, the head of Kherson regional administration.

   Vladimir Saldo, the head of our town, said that hundreds of people gave their lives when saving from the effects of the accident at Chernobyl nuclear power plant not only Ukraine but also Belorussia, Russia... Kherson people did not only took part in localizing effects of the explosion but also accepted Chernobyl people in their land, provided necessary help. On April 26 citizens of almost all cities in Ukraine will gather at the requiem meeting. Neighboring countries also mark this date. It means that there is no such a person who is not grateful to the people whose memory we honor today.
   "Our society must take lessons from this tragedy. All new scientific and technical innovations have to be aimed first of all at the safety of ecology and society in general. We must remember, honor and convey the memory of the people who saved our land and planet from ecological catastrophe. Low bias and everlasting memory to all the heroes of our Motherland!", - this is how Ustin Maltsev, the head of the charity fund, expressed his position.
    Information. On April 26, 1986 the most destroying accident in the history of nuclear power engineering happened in the North of Ukraine. All citizens of Ukraine and USSR took part in the liquidation of effects of this tragedy. The number of people who were affected by this accident and who lived here at the moment of putting the monument was 8973 persons, including 2381 children.
About 3,5 thousand people were liquidated to Kherson lands from the area of radioactive contamination. About 2962 Kherson people volunteered to take part in the liquidation of terrible effects of the accident, of those 304 persons died.

Ustin Maltsev's fund will take part in the 3rd International conference of psychologists

Ustin Maltsev’s fund supported the tournament of O.Mishukov

   On April 21, 2012 an Open regional tournament in volleyball among women's teams was held in the walls of the sport hall of Kherson state university. It was devoted to the memory of the honored artist, Professor Oleg Vasilievich Mishukov. The tournament gathered teams from Kherson (secondary school №52, gymnasium №3, physics and technical lyceum, Academic lyceum of O.Mishukov at Kherson state university, secondary school №24 at children's sport school №1) and the region. Girls of 9th to 11th forms took part in the competition.
   True struggle for the primacy broke out. Every team and every girl who was a part of the whole of the team "pulled out" her right to be the best. The tournament gathered the strongest teams. The proof of this fact is that the team of the Academic lyceum of O.Mishukov at Kherson state university won the championship among Kherson lyceums this year and the team of Chulakovka became the champion of Ukraine.

   Ustin Mltsev, the head of the charity fund and Ursulenko Alexey Anatolievich, a social activist supported the Open regional tournament in volleyball and purchased all the necessary inventory. They also showed sponsor support to the team of Kherson academic lyceum of O.Mishukov and bought brand wear with the logo of Ustin Maltsev's charity fund for the team.
   - Holding of such an event is a great job, especially in the memory of such an excellent person as Oleg Vasilievich Mishukov. The sport event is aimed to draw as much young people as possible to healthy lifestyle and sport. Healthy people make a healthy society!, - said Ursulenko Alexey Anatolievich, a public person and one of the organizers of the tournament.

Thus, according to the results of the competition, the right to be named the champions of the tournament won:

1st place - Academic lyceum of O.Mishukov at Kherson state university
2nd place - the secondary school №24 at the children's sport school №1
3rd place - the secondary school of Chulakovka (Golaya Pristan region).
All the winners and participants were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts.

Ustin Maltsev’s fund supported the all Ukrainian student olympiade

   From April 18 to April 20, 2012 the all Ukrainian student olympiade of the "Journalistic" and "Advertising and public connections" faculties took place оn the basis of Kherson academic lyceum at Kherson state university. An event of such a level was held for the first time in Kherson. The olympiade was held under the support of Ustin Maltsev's charity fund.    Talented students were competing for the title of the best among the best during three days. More than 70 students presented educational institutions from all Ukraine. Honored members of the jury were assigned to estimate knowledge and skills of the students. The head of the jury was Alexandrov Alexandr Alexeevich, professor, Doctor of Philology whom they invited form Odessa.    Cultural and entertaining program was organized for the participants of the olympiade where they had a wonderful opportunity to see our town, to visit the museum and to become members of the II international tourist forum, after which the participants wrote a creative composition. It was also taken into consideration when the results were calculated.

   Ustin Maltsev, the head of the charity fund said: "Information and advertising are essential and fundamental systems of the processes that occur in the society. Future specialists in journalistic and advertising must treat with responsibility work with information and its presentation to the masses".

A children’s regional exhibition of paintings “The way to the beauty” took place in Kherson

   On April 20, 2012 a children's paintings exhibition that was the final stage of the regional contest "The way to the beauty" was held in Kherson in Kherson regional art museum of A.Shovkunenko.     Founders and organizers of the contest were Management of culture and tourism in Kherson regional state administration, Kherson regional art museum of A.A.Shovkunenko, Kherson regional organization of the National union of painters of Ukraine.     The contest started on November 10, 2011 and was held in order to develop fine arts in Kherson region, to bring out gifted children of fine arts schools, to make heads and teachers of art departments at schools of aesthetic education work and exchange experiences.    At the exhibition works of pupils of children's art schools of Skadovsk, Novaya Kahovka, Velika Alexandrovka and Golaya Pristan, as well as children's music schools of Belozerka and Stanislav were presented. The participants of the exhibition were winners of the contests that took place in these schools.

   All the works that were presented at the exhibition are small children's masterpieces. One can feel in them all the warmth, kindness and sincerity of their souls that they put into the works. We must pay tribute to the teachers who taught the pupils the skills of fine arts, their diligent work was reflected in beautiful works of their pupils. Thus, on the results of the contest the winners of the I stage were:

Ustin Maltsev’s fund will support the project “Let’s make Ukraine clean”

   On April 28, 2012 the all Ukrainian project "Let's make Ukraine clean" will take place. The aim of the project is to make streets of the town, parks and public gardens clean and to improve our life with the help of ordinary citizens. The campaign will be held in the framework of the international social project "Let's Do It!" the united more than 80 countries of the world.
   Last year the initiative gathered more than 22 000 Ukrainians who came into the streets of their cities to collect rubbish. This year more than 100 000 citizens of Ukraine will support the project.
   Kherson people will also support the project! Ustin Maltsev's charity fund will take an active part in this campaign too. The team of the fund will involve business and mass media representatives into joint work on improvement of the quality of surrounding environment.

Ustin Maltsev’s fund supports folk art

   Kherson region is the native land of many creative people. Its nature and people inspired many talented painters whose works will always remain in the treasury of our Southern land as cultural and spiritual heritage. Those who think that the "golden age" of art in Kherson region passed long time ago, are terribly wrong! There are even more talents in our time and every new day a "star" of decorative art lights up. All this became possible due to the Regional union of masters of folk art "Dneprovskaya palette" who develop folk art of our region.
   Thus, on April 12, 2012 in the Regional universal library of Oles Gonchar members of this union opened an exhibition of Irina Ivanyuk's works "About what the soul sings..." that was coincided with 125 years anniversary of Georgiy Kurnakov. The painter works in the genre of still life and landscape. On her canvas national coloring of Ukrainian nation and original technique intertwine. In her works her own artistic images are reflected: village life coloring, Ukrainian steppe and delicate fragrance of wild flowers.

   For the opening of the exhibition pupils of the elementary school of Kherson gymnasium №6 were invited. Talented children had the opportunity to see the masterpieces of contemporary painting, as well as make the first steps in decorative art due to the fund of Ustin Maltsev. After the opening of the exhibition children got presents: albums and paints.
   Ustin Maltsev, head of the charity fund said: "Our task is to find talented children and to give them an opportunity for development. The main task of mentors and teachers is to see in a child interest for creative work, and parents' task is to develop this interest. Segment of cultural development forms culture on the whole, and it is more important than material benefits! Ustin Maltsev's fund gave a symbolic present for every child aimed to reveal in them talent of painting".
   One more surprise was waiting for the children. Professionals of arts and crafts held a master class on Easter themes. Children made an ingenious card from paperboard, cloth, beads and seeds in the shape of an Easter egg.

   Georgiy Vasilievich Kurnakov (1887-1977) - painter, Honored artist of USSR. In 1916 he graduated from Kiev school of arts. From 1919 during many years he was teaching painting and sketching in Kherson. He died and was buried in Kherson.
   "Dneprovskaya palette" is an organization uniting masters of folk art. The head of the union is Chernenko Oleg Mihailovich. The main goal of creating the Union is consolidation of all masters of Kherson region into one strong union for strengthening and development of folk art in Kherson region, finding and help for perspective talents.

Charity Fund of Ustin Maltsev will support the cultural heritage of Kherson region

   Our Kherson region - is the source of culture in the south of Ukraine. The history of our region dates back to the settlements of the ancient Greeks, it was in the VI century BC. Now in the treasury of the region remained a large number of works of art, which carry a tremendous spiritual value for our people and nation in a whole.
   Kherson Regional Art Museum named by A. Shovkunenko - the pearl of art of our region. At the moment, an art museum's collection includes more than 10 000 exhibits and is one of the most interesting museums of Ukraine, where the works of domestic and foreign paintings, drawings, sculpture, decorative arts, ranging from the samples of Russian icon painting of the XVII century and contemporary works of Kherson artists. Unfortunately, due to lack of funding, there is a huge problem with the restoration of museum exhibits, which can lead to complete loss of the masterpieces of art.

   That is why the administration of Kherson Regional Art Museum named by A. Shovkunenko has asked charity fund of Ustin Maltsev to help in the restoration of several paintings from the museum collection. There are four art works from the museum's collection, which need to restore first of all: Shovkunenko A. "Still Life", Nosko V. "The game of checkers", and two portraits (male and female) by an unknown artist, beginning of the XIX century. Charity report of Kherson diocese

   On March 27, 2012 in Kherson diocese administration department chaired by Kherson and Tavricheskiy Archbishop Joann
was held a conference where there were presented results of activity of the charity department and social serving of Kherson diocese for the last year. More than 25 people took part in the conference, among which were priests of charity and social serving departments, Mutsenko Dmitriy Valentinovich - director of the regional centre of social services for family, children and youth, Zyatyuk Yaroslav Stepanovich - chief doctor of Kherson regional centre of prevention and fight against AIDS, Berezhnaya Zoya Yakovlevna - secretary of Kherson city council of deputies, Marchenko Natalia Mironovna - deputy head of Health protection regional state administration, Dosenko Elena Andreevna - representative of the department of Execution of sentences, Bikova Anna Alexeevna - director of the regional home for minors (village Stepanovka), as well as representatives of the department of Public relations of the regional state administration of social organizations, Kherson state university, the charity fund of Ustin Maltsev, business and others.

   In the course of the conference they discussed questions referred to mutual activity of Church and State in the sphere of charity. In particular, the head of the diocese department, archpriest Sergiy Dmitriev said that the main task in the development of social serving in the diocese is support of village parishes and help for priests in villages, teaching contemporary methods of social serving. For one year of work the department held charity projects for St. Nicolas Day, Christmas and Easter holidays, attracted and gave help for the amount of more than 1 million hrivnas! for such institutions as the hospital of Tropin, regional home for minors, HOSPICE, boarding schools of Novaya Zburyevka, Kherson libraries, comprehensive schools as well as all those in need in Kherson region. Cooperation via signing appropriate contracts with the regional health protection administration, regional centre of social services for family, children and youth, Kherson state university, social organizations was established. Representatives of the department form part of coordination councils of different levels. 
   Members of the conference expressed their gratitude to the ruling bishop of Kherson diocese, Vladyka Joann, for the given spiritual support, financial help, mutual activity on the questions of prevention of negative phenomena in the society, fight against AIDS, drug addiction, tuberculosis and other issues.
Ustin Maltsev, head of the charity fund, took part in the event. He presented a number of educative books for children from the boarding. He said that Kherson diocese, while holding annual report meeting, shows a good example of systematic, clear and public reporting for all philanthropists, as it is definite results and clear activities are a guarantee of positive changes in the society.

Ustin Maltsev’s fund saved a misborn and left child!

   A child, Liosha Rusin, was born in the hospital of Tropin three weeks ago. Child birth is always a happy holiday as children are beautiful flowers and our future but an under-age mother of the child said that this kid will become a heavy burden and will spoil her life. Her mother had the same opinion and signed the refusal from the boy. Thus, Liosha Rusin became orphan.
   Everything would be better if the boy was not misborn. Child's weight was 1 kg! This is obvious that the child has many health problems. Doctors of Kherson regional child health clinic specified a diagnosis ventricular internal hemorrhage (VIH) of the brain. Savchenko Irina Ivanovna, doctor of the child health clinic, said that 80% of misborn kids are born with this ailment. It is dangerous because liquid accumulates in the brain which cramps brain's growth and development. If surgical and medicament aid is not done, the child becomes underdeveloped and invalid for the whole life. He even may die due to being misborn. There is a way out from the given situation. There is a number of mounts that help to renew the glial cells of the brain and reduce negative influence of external bruise.
   Unfortunately hospital's budget cannot go to the expense of buying necessary medication, this is why parents always buy it by themselves if they have such a possibility. But in Liosha's case when he does not have parents any more, nobody can buy medicaments for him.
   When we knew about this problem, Ustin Maltsev's fund bought medication and drugs that will help the child to survive.
   They commented in Ustin Maltsev's fund on this situation and said that it is everyone's duty to help a person in need, especially when this is a child and his life depends on it. They said this is just a drop in the bucket what they did, still it saved somebody's life. Unfortunately the fund cannot help absolutely all who apply to them but they try to do their best for everyone.

The tournament of Alexandr Beresh took place!

   The holiday of sport took place! It is the eighth year in a row that Kherson regional fund of Alexandr Beresh and its leader Svetlana Beresh gather all sport potential of sport gymnastics of Ukraine in our town. During two days in the framework of Ukrainian tournament "Young gymnast" the spectators observed not childish struggle for the places on the pedestal. "Spectacular, impressive, beautiful", - shared Kherson people their impressions. "Acrobats are so small but so clever, talented and hard working". All the participants got traditionally T-shirts with the tournament logo and the best of them were awarded valuable prizes. Medalists in the I and II categories and candidates in masters of sport were awarded diplomas, medals and money prizes. "Gold" equaled 700 hrivnas, "silver" - 500 hrivnas and "bronze" - 300 hrivnas.

   Hard trainers' work was not left aside, this is why the mentors of today's champions were also awarded money prizes of 500 hrivnas. Among the trainers' one should mention Irina Nadiuk, the leader of the youth sport club "Olympia", Tsherkassi. Results of her gymnasts speak for themselves.
   But not only prizes inspired the acrobats for decent performances. Everyone of them knows the famous Ukrainian sportsman in whose honor these competitions take place. Alexandr Beresh (12.10.1977-29.02.2004) - a double prizewinner of Olympic games, an absolute champion of Europe, a champion of the World Universidad, a multiple winner of championships and cups of Ukraine. His example will always inspire for achievements. Alexandr Beresh was a universal gymnast who mastered all shells. But his favorite one was a crossbar. It is on this shell where Alexandr won most of all medals on the international arena. This is why at every tournament an additional prize for the best shell gymnast is given. Today the winner was Savenko Dmitriy, Kirovograd.
   In one month an acrobat from Tsherkassi, Kovtun Ilya, will be 9 years. A traditional prize of "The youngest participant" in the amount of 500 hrivnas was given to him.
   Many Kherson people visited the tournament. There were also present representatives of government and business, social leaders and charity people. Yatsenko Andrey Anatolievich, the leader of education administration, told to all the audience the appeal of Nikolay Kostyuk, the head of Kherson regional administration, and promised that the sport hall where the event takes place will be repaired according to the European standards this year.
   Ustin Maltsev, head of the charity fund, said that the tournament of Alexandr Beresh has become a tournament of the national scale long time ago. With every year the number of participating regions grows. Name of Alexandr Beresh becomes a sport calling card not only of Kherson but of the whole country. He added that he is happy to be the part of of this holiday of sport and health. Making a conclusion Ustin Maltsev thanked all who made their feasible contribution in the organization of the eighth Ukrainian children's tournament in sport gymnastics "Young Gymnast", all the friends of the tournament who supported its organizer Svetlana Beresh. "Gymnastics is the basis for many kinds of sport, therefore the basis of the nation's health. Only uniting efforts we can revive Olympic glory of Kherson region and raise our children decent Ukrainians."

Ustin Maltsev’s fund supported young poets

   On March 21 took place the final of the competition of young poets "Debut" in the hall of the literary department of Kherson museum of local history. Everybody who wanted to bring to the public their poetic trials could take part in the contest. Firstly the project was planned to hold within Kherson region. But the organizers could not expect that this contest will cause such a big resonance among young poets of Ukraine, as school children and students even from Kiev, Belaya Tserkov i Lvov sent their works!
   It is natural that only experts in this field had to judge the young poets. Thus, the jury committee made: Kichinskiy Anatoliy, a famous Ukrainian poet, laureate of the National premium of Ukraine of Taras Shevchenko, Kulik Valeriy, a poet of Kherson region, the honored figure in the culture of Ukraine, laureate of the National premium of Ukraine of Taras Shevchenko, Zagorodnyuk Vasiliy, a poet, member of the National union of Ukrainian writers, teacher.

   It is an interesting fact that the competition "Debut" was born in the 90s of the last century. Museum employees put colossal efforts to hold it for several years in a row, but it was suspended because of the difficult financial and economic situation in the country. Today, after almost 20 years (!) young poets again have an excellent opportunity to express their creative potential. Bratchenko Tatiana Georgievna, director of the museum said that this final is a great chance to understand that a thought and a word are eternal substances!
   Young poets aged from 14 to 20 years gave their works for the contest. This made a definite difficulty for the members of the jury as the world outlook of the pupil and the student are totally different. This is why Anatoliy Kichinskiy, one of the members of the judging committee expressed his intentions that poetic contests will be held next year but the contestants will be divided into age groups. Nevertheless, in 2012 in the poetic competition "Debut" the winners were:
- 1 place: Kovalenko Yulia
- 2 place: Tischenko Victoria
- 3 place: Sovativa Darina
   Girls were awarded diplomas of the winners and money prizes. Alina Oleynik and Daria Dishkar were separately noted and also got money prizes.
   Ustin Maltsev, philanthropist of Kherson, charity person and businessman always attends such events as he cares about spiritual and moral development of youth. Vasiliy Zagorodnyuk advised the patron of Kherson to take part in the next contest as Ustin Maltsev recited his own poems and one must say that he made it very skillfully.
