Emergency help to premature children

 

The 17^th of January 2014 in measures of project “Fund raising for equipment to Regional Children’ Hospital” the pathological department of premature children of Kherson Regional Children’ hospital Ustin Maltsev Charitable Fund has sent  60 peripheral cannulas, 20 flacons of glucose and 20 catheters CH-6 feeding. The premature children needs special feeding as their digestive system is not developed yet. The feeding through tube or intravenous feeding is used until premature child cant suck and swallow. Sometimes child is fed through tube with mother’s milk, which contains proteins protecting child’s organism from infections and speeds his growths. The collected funds were gathered by Kherson benefactors who participate in such actions not at the first time. The necessary preparations will be directed to abandoned children. “Premature children are especially subjected to different diseases, as their organs are not formed yet. Such newborns need special medical treatment and care until systems of organism will be not formed and developed completely without medical help. We would like to mention also that before in pathological department of newborns and premature children Ustin Maltsev Fund has presented electronic scales and also necessary equipment which is very important for this department” - has commented the head of department Natalia Vladimirovna Bakina.

The department of pathology of newborns and premature kids realizes specialized 24 hours care after premature newborns and children with some diseases. Great amount of people yearly get to department of pathology of newborns and premature who need special care from the first days of life.
