In 2008, Kherson poet Vasily Zagorodniuk decided to go to rest to Sivash Sea. Break from work, to gather new strength, energy, inspiration, which is not always enough of the gray apartment blocks. Rotten Sea, sometimes referred to as the Siwash, so inspired by the poet, that he began writing poems on the sand! One verse, second verse, third, fourth...
Vasily Zagorodniuk called his friend, colleague, now deceased, Nikolai Bratan, who advised Zagorodniuk to find a pen and paper and start writing. First, the author's idea, the poem had to take the form of poetic cycle. But Siwash so captured the soul of the poet, that the December 2, 2011 in the literary department of Kherson regional museum, museum-apartment B. Lavrenev presented poetry collection "Siwash," which was released in book form.
Interesting fact: Basil Zagorodniuk could be in the Guinness Book of Records as the poet, who wrote a whole book on the sand. He could, but not proved, since the whole process was not documented any photo or video shoot.
It should be noted that on the presentation was an interesting audience. There were journalists and literary critics, students of Vasily Zagorodniuk (he teaches at Kherson State University), poets and writers.
Lada Fedorovskaya, well-known literary critic in Kherson, praised the collection, which noted the depth and variety of images, the subtlety of the word. Even the author noted that this book - it is his vision as an environmental Sivash pearls in Kherson Region. And indeed, all the poems of Sivash: its salt lakes, its high sky, its flora and fauna, people...
Students KSU Faculty of Philology and Journalism, namely Alexandra Godina, Olesya Tolstochub and Victoria Kolechko, pleased the guests so that they read out a poem of his teacher. The real surprise was a small impromptu by Victor Bratan, son of the famous Kherson poet.
Vasily Zagorodniuk was reciting his poems. He is "loaded" guests their energy and gave them to feel what he saw, heard and felt himself. The poet was able to capture the soul of each and get a laugh, then sad.
The atmosphere was extraordinary! The eyes of the audience on fire. Pride tore everyone . Pride for their countryman, for Kherson, for Ukraine! Repeatedly expressed their gratitude to Zagorodniuk at the party, and finally wished "Give God - not the last!".
The event was attended by representatives of the Charitable Foundation of Ustin Maltsev. Ustin personally congratulated Vasily Zagorodniuk with presentation and genuinely happy with new poetic heights: "I am very pleased that the spiritual, inner development does not stand still. A new collection of poetry Vasily Zagorodniuk proves it! The main thing is that young people have an example for imitation!".
Recall that on September 1 this year with the support of the Foundation Ustin Maltsev out a coloring book for first graders "Marine Alphabet" written by V. Zagorodniuk. We hope that this is not the last joint project which aims at the inner development!
